Mission Statement
- WIUP-FM is licensed by the
Federal Communications Commission to Indiana University of Pennsylvania and is required to operate in such a way to serve the "public interest, need and convenience."
- WIUP-FM has a diverse program schedule designed to meet the needs and interests of the Indiana University of Pennsylvania community and surrounding Indiana County communities. This programming includes numerous musical formats, locally and nationally produced public affairs programs, local and national news, and coverage of special events on the IUP campus and Indiana community.
- WIUP-FM strives to provide programming that is of the highest
possible quality, technically and programmatically.
- WIUP-FM also strives to provide students, enrolled at Indiana
University of Pennsylvania, with meaningful work experiences related to radio
programming and operations.
- WIUP-FM encourages professionalism among student staff members
and promotes an understanding of the media's responsibility to play a role in
society.
